This is as promised. Khas untuk Wappey (but throw in Jiji jua pasal dorang kambar).

But before that, a random story. Masa di Brunei arah makan-makan di kampong. Mami cakap if orang tanya pandai-pandai saja menjawab. Skali I said, "ku gitau saja aku si Bebeh."

Sekali banar ada this auntie she said, "Eh si Bebeh kah ni?!" I just smiled. Mami cakap, "cuba panggil ya. Menyaut kah inda."

"Beeyy." Kana panggil banar. Senyum ku saja. Hahaha cali.

Esok-esoknya arah makan-makan atu jua another great-Auntie, "Eh kau. Ada ko sini. Bila ko balik? (soalan favourite)" Me, "Ni lapas makan ani balik tah ku ni."


Awafi. Atau Abu Bakar Elah? Hehehehe lawa rambut ah, Pey. Ingat Karin ni. Time arah bilik Niny masa balum bepacah. Dapan ceramin lemari Niny ni. Hahaha. Serious lagi tu =P

Nah..untuk mendangani. Hahahha. Inda dapat meliat tudung ampai-ampai.

Happy 22nd birthday to my one and only sister, Bebeh who is happy-go-lucky, grumpy sometimes, who frowns upon me eating while melimpang, who always takes a shower at least two times a day unlike me, who always misses me when I'm not around and prompts me to go home and when I do, ia berjalan jua sama bui nya leaving me at home, who always listens (or maybe just there but not listening - I don't know haha) to me complaining complaining complaining b*tching 3x about people, who always buys me stuff unlike me, who shares with me the title of being Abang's angel (nya orang haha), and who is pretty just like me. *lol* And oh, also, who now likes cats and is more emotional about them than me.

He's her lobster~

So M and I treated the friends at Rainforest Cafe last night. M offered to split the bill with me, thanks M =) No wish list for me. I've got G1. It's actually a birthday present for me okay hehe. Money pooled together for that one. So thanks to my parents and the girls. And thanks to the guys for being supportive about the 'flower' part. Mau pakai bunga hehehe. Oh oh oh! Thanks for the flower too!! ;)

Back and running

The batteries are fully recharged, Alhamdulillah. The week is ending. I need to wash and iron my baju kurungs. That's for today actually. I'm taking a break sekajap hehe.

It's good to have my stomach happy again. Stay that way, dear stomach. Now that I think I'm okay (thanks to my girlfriends for taking care of me in your own special way. Y and S urut me. Nyaaamaaaannnnn!), my throat is back hurting. But better that than stomach. Funny, it's like, they take turns haunting me. When I had the D I was temporarily cured from sakit leher and batuk-batuk, but now they're back when the D is out. (I don't wanna say it again the D word.) Because I kept drinking Sprite, 7up and the other drink. Kinda like 100plus too.

I had my mini shopping spree at H&M last night. I only got the chance to enjoy the crazy sales last night because it started during the exam and after the exam I went straight home. But I didn't go like all crazy about it, personally I think I've lost my 'shopaholism' already, if no one hasn't realised it already, yeah, I think I have. Hehehe. Barangkali jua tu.

I bought two Benny Hill DVDs. (Do the theme song now!! Ehehe) They've got new ones out at Virgin. Now if only I could remember which ones I have bought already. Karang double ca kan. It doesn't matter lah, he's funny! Was. Hahaha. Tapi kadang-kadang ndaku get jokes nya. Mendalam bah mendalam! Boh aku atu mengoogle kedia, sekali birthdaynya sama macam aku! *lol*

Bah don't forget tonightttttttttttttttttttttttt!! Story about that later lah ah ;)

Like batteries they run out

From my experience of purchasing new rechargeable batteries, at the very beginning of usage the batteries last longer but as they are repeatedly recharged, they decrease in lasting. Perhaps, that's how I see myself in terms of being strong in being apart from loved ones.

As I am doing this, I am also checking the Mufti's website. The updates are about kuliah bersama mufti di masjid Kampong Tanah Jambu, and the week before di masjid Kampong Pelambayan. Cool. Both mosques of the villages of my Ninys.

Anyway, where do I start? Updates on day-by-day basis, perhaps?

9 Feb, Monday - As said in previous entry, went out to watch Pink Panther II with Sheikh at Qlap mall. You know, I can never pronounce Ashwarya Rai correctly at first try. Yeah, the first movie was better but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I am easily amused with movies you know. Then we had early dinner at Fusion at the mall. I liked the food there. It was my first time. Nyaman. I ordered Henry IV something-something. (sejak bila saya detail ani hehe). He still voted strongly against second visit to Excapade.

10 Feb, Tuesday - Picked up Anis and Eddie at UBD. I forgot to push down the hand brake. So funny! Actually not. See, initial plan was to let Menteri Eddie drive from UBD to mall but they encouraged me to sambung saja drive (and aku pun iski tia sikit hehe). So awalnya I pulled up the hand brake, keluar kereta sekali masuk balik kereta and lupa nurunkan balik. Masa branti arah traffic light dakat Gadong sudah barutah tanya Anis. "Apakan tanda seru ani?"

She looked at it while her hand pigang hand brake sekali she went, "Astaghfirullah/Subhanallah, Karin. Hand brake."

Di mall lunch with Azizi. Ia hari-hari ke mall. Langu mall kan muamu ji!

Then after dropping off A&E at UBD, went to KB to see Niny. But I forgot to see Inah! I arrived 2ish kan pukul 3. Sampat jumpa before ia ugama at 3.30. Inda tepikir wah. I just thought ada lagi masa kali lapas atu kan jumpa Inah. The last time I met her was masa panggilan di Bunut arah Ajim kahwin.

11 Feb, Wednesday - Went out to lunch with Dd, Mami, Abang and Kaety. Ambuyat. Finally. But I got the flu and my throat felt painful when I swallowed so I didn't really indulge. Later in the evening visited Niny di TJ. Buhau brought the cat formerly known as Basil (adi beradi Memel & Bambam). He was huge! Bigger than Saleh.

Hahaha. Inda nampak basarnya.

12 Feb, Thursday - Flight back to Cairo via Singapore.

Fast forward....

So, today.. Nothing much.

I've been attacked by the diarrhea again. Apart from reporting to the embassy and appointment with the orthodontist, I've been pretty much indoor since I arrived in Cairo. My laundry's piling up, maqalah is due in three days (I just started writing today!) but thankfully it's been said that Kuliah will only start next week (and I decided to believe just that). Speaking of which, I need my kuliah bag back.

I caught Ellen Degeneres show last week. Pasal Bollywood movie Slumdog Millionaire. Siuk kah tu? I saw some negative reviews about it on Facebook. The heroin is a model, the hero has thick British accent. He grew up in Britain.

Hope she's doing fine. Makin sehat plang sudah. Hope everyone's doing fine! See you guys.

Updates

After Ket's entry, I don't think I can top that off. I don't think I can write an entry at all *lol*. But here goes some updates.

Today is supposed to be a day out with the Mister (as Ket put it hehe). I hope it won't rain. The weather info said it would rain di persisiran mungkin merebak ke darat. Hope not. You know ever since ku belesen ani inda lagi ya mau mengaga ke rumah. Ceh! Well I shouldn't complain, given the countless times he had fetched me up for the last coupla years. Inda jua banyak. Baik jua amba di Masir. Anyway, we're going to watch Inspector Closseau.

Anis and I along with Wappey (yang menangis meliat movie ani adakah hahaha), Adek and Azrie caught Bride Wars last Thursday. Okay lah the movie. If you guys di Cairo haven't watched it, pigitah. And peringatan : mun kan kahwin di mana-mana hotel or hall, baiktah andang book awal!


You remember one of our cats, Homer? Well she was expecting and we were waiting long enough for her to go into labour. Parutnya atu bah basar banar sudah tapi balum jua beranak-beranak nya. Well she gave birth two days ago but unfortunately none of them survived. From the looks of it she was having difficulty giving birth. Four kittens (fetus I think) were found in the litter box. Macam ada usul kucing plang tapi alum 100% menjadi. But there were still two in her. The next day which was yesterday she was still weak. She didn't lick herself. I cleaned her before but she was still wet. That means she didn't lick herself right. And that means she didn't have the energy. So we brought her to the vet.

Long story short, she had to go to the OR. I gave the permission that they could remove the uterus along with the babies inside as long as Homer is safe. Sure enough, they did. Now Homer won't be able to give birth anymore. She's back now but the vet said she has to be separated from the rest first. Hopefully she'll be back normal soon. She's still weak. She hardly has her voice when she meows. Poor Homer. But she's eating, so that's a relief.

I'm going back this Thursday. What? That soon? Yeah.. Kana suruh packing tia sudah bah. Hehehe. I keep thinking of the laundry I have to do once I'm back. Panuh bah bakul ku. Hehehe. And of course the catching up! I'm sure they got lots of stories to share pasal Hurghada and all. Gila, rindu ca ku Mesir. Tapi karang lagi ca ku rindu ni Brunei!!

Revenge of the KET: Surpriseeeee!

Hi, it's K to the E to the T here! :D

Well the (belated) birthday girl requested one of us to blog about the whole surpise thing..so considering i was the mastermind and also my brainy assistant A to the N to the I to the S (hehe), so why not i share with the rest of you here :)

Well....it started when this cheeky cousin of us secretly went back to Brunei and gived us a hell lot of surprised. By the way, if you were in Excapade Gadong around noon time on the 29th January, and heard a labang scream from one of the private rooms, I very much apologise to you, so sorry for disrupting your lunch with that annoying shrieks. Hehe! Don't blame us for being soooo surprised :p

After lunch, we went home for a bit (secret business ;p) before doing errands, then it came to me that I HAVE TO GET BACK AT HER! WUAHAHAHAHA *evil laugh. :P
So i thought i should make Karin a birthday gathering with not only 1032ians present but also her close friends and especially, you-know-who hehe.

Thinking of the funny weather, we thought of doing it at a restaurant.

BUT THEN....we thought of the Ninis. If we were gonna make it some place else it would be inconvenience for them to go out and especially in the rain. So mau inda mau, we agreed on making it at our place.

Now, its the day and time. I immediately messaged Amit CT as when she and the family would be free. After few messages, we agreed on Saturday afternoon. Since mama (work) and my parents (away) won't be around for "heavy cooking" eheh..so anis planned to get different types of fry foods like nugget and chips and I on the other hand, willing to cook spaghetti cause i know kaka would help :)

Then, we had to find a way to reach her friends to inform them about the surprise party. That night on Thursday, i was reluctant to click Bebeh on MSN fearing that Karin would be around. So i clicked her boyfriend instead hehe. But then i found out Bebeh was actually using her mobile! So i asked her to get in touch with her friends and Abg Apis.

The next day, we received a good news that Bebeh will postpone her flight to the next day! So we push back the date and make it a Sunday Afternoon Affair. So more time to think and plan! Hehe!

By Saturday afternoon, the parents had reached Brunei so they would be around. Yay! so i could ask Daddy to prepare the dish ;) ;) Then the unexpected happened. When i first told Mami that Karin is in Brunei, this was her first words that came out:

"AAAAH?????????? ADA IA DI BRUNEI???? BAH KALAU MACAM ATU BAIK TAH KAWIN!!" (mata nya tebeliak)

Aku pun jadi bangang. Kawin??

"KARIN MU KAN?? ADA DI SINI??" i nodded and became speechless. Again, Kawin??

"AWU BAHH ABG YOY MU BAH, BAIK TAH DI SLAJURKAN SEMANTARA IA ADA ANI. SI BEBEH PUN ADA MASIH KAN?"

"Ohh Bg yoy! kirtah Karin!"


Ceh! Suspen! Yes Karin, kirtah ada another surprise lagi hehe. By this time, Juah almost laughed her bu*t hearing all that.

Anyway, come night, still no news from Bebeh about the confirmation of Karins friends. So i tracked them down myself. From the friday bowling night, I thought i could remember a face so I checked her blog first, as in on this page :p I went through almost all the links on the right column and not single blog mentioned anything of bowling on a Friday night. At this time, Anis and I were already panicking. I was thinking most of the negatives and not much confident if
we could pull this off.

Then, baru tepikir to get on Karin's facebook friend list and from there i spotted a face..which was lehan's. Hehe. I added him but Anis suggested to private message him straight away which i didn't know i could do until Anis pointed it out hehe! So I did. After few hours waiting for a reply and my inbox showed something.

Little that i know, it was the wrong friend! hehehe. Seriously,.. muka kamuuu kan sama!! :p So Lehan suggested to contact Adi instead since well, he's in Cairo and very much can't make it for that Sunday ;p And that lovely Adi did response to my msg on Sunday morning. And what
more lovely he could get two more of Karin's friends to come! Weeeeeeeeeee!

Next mission, forcing the Mr. to make a show! Inda plang payah banar. Hehe. Its just that he thought he wouldn't make it since there was a wedding in Telisai, of his cousin some more. I actually asked Anis to get in touch with him on MSN and then Azizi but then he wasn't available most of the time. So i had to have the nerve to message him but he was all bangang! Rupanya he
hadn't know yet so i explained...it was a positive response at first not until he mentioned the wedding. But i gave him the reason why were making it at 4pm cause we had a wedding too (Hehehe) Membaca kah ni ia ah..hehehehe *PEACE!* Btw, i'm not sure how i got his number but i think it's been in my contact list for 6years plus now. The same amount of years they've been dating ;) ;)
And Alhamdulilah, at last he decided to come. Double Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So the day we've been waiting for has arrived! I was nervous but excited at the same time.

I've asked everyone to come at 4pm but by then nobody came yet. I've also asked Bebeh to advise Asai not to leave home before 4pm. But, it was too late.

While we were busy setting up the tables in the frontyard, Anis shouted "Hi Karin!". I panicked and looked up, there she was the subject of the surprise looking down from the bedroom window watching us preparing little did she know was her own surprise party hehe!
I hurriedly said it was for Mitning when Karin asked what was all this about. Hehehe kan tutup cover~ Because, we usually do urung2 in Nini's room and hardly outdoor anymore.

After much panicking, Anis and I ran to our backyard and tried to think of Plan B!
(Karin, did you see us running??? :p)

This time Adi & friends were already near but i had to ask him to make a detour. Anis came up with bringing Karin out for a bit to get something essential for the party.
She thought of getting drinks but unfortunately I've already requested Amit to get it so I told her "Apa2 sja lah..tanya mama!" And thank God they thought of getting chilli sauce for the cucur udang that mama prepared...hehehe

So while, theyre in the shops, i asked adi come fast and use the different simpang. Good timing as Bebeh just came with the cake too. Unfortunately, Abg Pis couldn't get there on time.
Lambat 5minutes kali.. if not it'd be perfecttt hehehe

So i asked everyone to make a line behind the Ninis. While waiting, sampat lagi Amit Ning becali. hehe. He made fun of me getting panick te-antak2! Hehe inda cali tuu mit~~ inda cali~~

And then there she comes....bejalan dari belakang...hehehe...tapi boreng expression muka nya selamba saja but not until she spotted Ihsan and Adi and Dyzam (sp?) Hehhehehe that was priceless!

Then doa time...another surprise for the lady~ Kedatangan sheikh..hehehe
And then Innah tumpis! haha. Seriously Karin, did you hear what Innah say kah?
Anis lagi tia...marah kan slajur...ketara! hahahaha

So Anis and I are reaaaaaaaaaally glad it went well! phew! I hope that was a nice catch up of you and your friends babe :)

Btw, to your question if you'd still in Cairo, my plan was to surprise you by going there with the whole 1032 family...

Hehehehe how i wish i had all the money!

But seriously, actually i was planning to send you a video of us all 1032 family in Nini's room singing bIRTHDAY song and and have a cake with your name on it!!! Hehehee that was all i could think of :)

Where's my sun? // aku suka, kamu perlu

I told my friends before why I wanted to go home for the semester break (the first one. You see, I decided to balik, then cancel, then balik again). Because I needed the light of my sun that was fading. Duniaku gerhana saja di Mesir atu tanpa matahari. Asyik-asyik pelangi ganya yang muncul. Matahariku mana? Selalu di sebalik awan yang tebal.

Secara majazinya aku sudah jumpa sinaran matahariku. Tapi secara hakiki, memang Brunei masa ani kejarangan nampak matahari. It is like Forks here. Always raining. Jarang timbul matahari. If Edward was a real life character and lived in Brunei, you'd see a lot of him around!

I'm still awake. It's not like my eyes are still six hours behind. I guess some things are keeping me up. I went to Study in UK at Empire this afternoon. There's this university that offers a wide range of Islamic studies. Interesting. Really interesting. Amazing how a taxi ride to Zamalek with my junior had managed to trigger my interest in studying there.

I'm still worried about my exam, but still I can't let that stop me from planning about what to do next. There are some options good enough but - I'm torn. Torn between what I like and what the country needs. Which one should I go for? My passion? Or job guarantee?

I've always put forward what I'm passionate about. But what if what I'm passionate about is useless? Tapi nada ilmu yang useless lah. Ilmu itu milik Allah, dan segala apa milik-Nya atu ndakan useless. Tapinyaaa... yang aku minat ani macam payah tia jua. Karang tenangis-nangis ku lagi sudah exam. *lol*

The best of the best of the best! Did someone try to make it up to me for almost forgetting my birthday? Hehehe.
